The genesis of each batik starts from its fabric, RantaiBalok Series uses locally sourced Dobby Premium fabric from Solo, the city that is most renowned for its Batik craftmanship

Each Batik of the RantaiBalok Collection Series are carefully processed with non-toxic coloring agent called Remasol which bind nicely to Malam, the substance used to create the Batik pattern

The 'Malam' Marker
The 'Malam' Marker
On top of the non-toxic coloring agent, Danurdara uses a special substance called Malam for the artisan to handcraft each Batik with beautiful pattern. This substance is created with natural compounds such as Parafin, Pine Saplings and Animal Fat

The Artisan
All of Danurdara's batik is made by highly seasoned local artisans of Laweyan District in Solo, which is most renowned for its Batik expertise throughout Indonesia. Every pattern is handwritten with Malam and slowly processed to perfection.
